Wei YAO, professor at Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, currently serves as the General Manager of Shanghai Integrated Circuit Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd. She obtained a Doctor of Engineering degree from University College London in 2012 (with a research focus on system modeling and intelligent algorithm development). She has been working at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences since May 2017.
Wei YAO has long been engaged in research on intelligent system modeling and optimization. She has published over 30 papers of various types and obtained more than 20 authorized invention patents as the first inventor, among which a certain algorithm has been granted PCT patents in the United States and Australia. As the project leader, she has completed over 30 national and provincial and municipal key projects successively and has won the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award four times. She has been selected as a high-level talent in Shanghai, an outstanding technical leader in Shanghai, a Pujiang Talent, and a new IT star in Shanghai.
