报告题目:Ultra low power wireless for perceptive systems - the future internet of things
报告人:黄立教授
报告摘要:Perceptive systems are heterogeneous smart systems acting on all available data from own sensors and the cloud. They can enable the future Internet of Things (IoT), which not only allow “things” to be sensed and controlled remotely across existing network infrastructure, but also utilize the cloud to learn human’s preferences, health and behavior and react exactly as human’s need or want, assisting in an unobtrusive way. These perceptive systems include ultra-small, cheap, intelligent, and ultra–low power sensing and connectivity, often in a one-chip wireless solution. Imec and Holst Centre have longstanding expertise and excellent track record in radio technology, wireless sensing, ultra-low power electronics, body area networks, diagnostics and flexible electronics: the building blocks to create an easy-to-use perceptive systems.
In this talk, we will discuss ultra low-power wireless technology, the key to enable perceptive systems. We will introduce imec’s multi-stand 2.4GHz radio, enabling low power realization of Zigbee/BLE combo chip. We will also introduce imec’s SubGHz radio, which is ideal for smart building and critical infrastructure monitoring applications.
报告人简介: Prof. Li Huang received his Ph. D. degree in Electrical Engineering from both the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TU/e). He is currently leading the ultra-low power (ULP) wireless research activities in Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre (imec) at Holst Centre to develop chip solutions for personal area networks. He is also a visiting professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He has been involved in various industry and European projects on ULP design for different wireless communication systems. He has also been active in different wireless standards, including the emerging IEEE 15.4q ULP wireless standard draft. He has published more than 100 papers/reports/books, one of which was among the top 10 of most downloaded papers in IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing in 2007. Besides, he is the founder and the president of the HUST alumni association in the Netherlands.
